ALLY PETITTI

Ally-Petitti

DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR & PODCAST HOST

About

Ally is a mental health advocate and strong voice for Gen Z and beyond. With her new podcast “Trying to Figure it Out”, Ally is an open book and isn’t afraid to speak her truth. She lays it out ALL out on the table and provides help and support for her guests and devoted listeners.

Created in January 2022, Ally’s inspiration to start her podcast transpired after experiencing multiple mental and physical health struggles in her life and strongly feeling the need to create social awareness on real-life, meaningful issues & topics. She chats with friends and guests in conversational style interviews, in which they share personal and powerful stories and learn from each other along the way.

Ally’s goal is to always ensure guests feel comfortable expressing their true, authentic selves and knowing they are not alone, with her main theme being – We are all just “figuring it out” and that’s OK! Ally is excited to introduce this new chapter in her blossoming career!

"SHARING IS HEALING"

Interview

When did you start to get interested in creating digital content and hosting a podcast?

I started my Podcast, Trying to Figure It Out after going through a very hard year mentally and physically.

I wanted an outlet to share my stories and also to welcome others to come share theirs. I never thought I would have a podcast but since I started it has come so naturally and if I can help someone struggling with similar things to myself that makes me happy and keeps me going on my own personal journey.

Which is the part you enjoy the most about your creating digital content?

I think the most rewarding thing about TTFIO is that it covers so many topics and can be relatable to so many people for so many different reasons.

Knowing that through sharing I can heal and also make others feel less alone is something I would never take for granted. I love what I do because I think it helps people and makes people feel good.

Most artists say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… In which aspects has podcasting helped you?

Sharing is healing. I stand by that statement, and I think that sharing what I have on my podcast and also having guests who are so graciously willing to share such deeply personal stories has allowed me to heal, them to heal, and others to heal, learn and grow. I have changed so much since starting this project.

What does creating digital content and hosting a podcast mean to you?

It means everything to me because it’s so personal and so honest.

Who are your idols?

My dad and my grandma.

If you didn’t like creating content what would you like to do?

Start a trauma center / mental health center that does not exploit people for their struggles but actually helps people process all the different types of traumas we are exposed to as human beings

Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?

I think we live in a time where there is so much opportunity for artists, but the market is so saturated because there is so much space and freedom for people to do whatever they want and be their most creative selves. So, while I think there is more opportunity, I definitely think it is a bit of a harder time to be noticed.

Which are your upcoming projects?

Right now, I am just continuing to put out more episodes of Trying to Figure It Out and looking to see how the brand can continue to grow since it is so new.
