Interview

Hi Capri! Could you tell us how the idea for the Evil Queen transformation with Gal Gadot came to life?

So, Gal invited me to work with her, and I thought it would be super cool to do a makeup look inspired by the Evil Queen!

What was it like working with Gal Gadot? Was she how you imagined she would be in real life?

Working with Gal was amazing! She was even more fun and down-to-earth than I expected. It felt like I was hanging out with a friend instead of a huge movie star!

That video has over 1.6 million views! How did you feel when you saw how many people were watching and loving it?

It’s so exciting to see how many people enjoy my videos! My mom tells me that some of my videos even get over 20 million views, which is like the whole population of New York City! I feel super grateful that my besties love what I create. They really inspire me to keep making more!

You seem super confident in front of the camera — do you get nervous at all before filming with big stars like Gal or Rihanna?

Sometimes I do get a little nervous, especially when I meet someone I really look up to! But I try to remind myself to just be me and have fun. My mom gives me pep talks that really help calm my nerves!

What do you love the most about makeup and creating these transformation videos?

I love how makeup lets me turn into different characters and express all kinds of emotions! Making transformation videos is like telling a fun story, and I really enjoy becoming someone else, even if it’s just for a little bit.

How do you come up with your ideas for videos — do you plan them with your family or team, or do they just pop into your head?

It’s a mix of both! Sometimes ideas just pop into my head when I see something cool. Other times, my mom and her team suggest topics, and then I create a transformation based on that!

You’ve worked with some amazing celebrities already! Is there someone else you dream of collaborating with one day?

Oh, for sure! I would love to team up with Blackpink! That would be so much fun! And my sister would be so jealous.

How do you balance being a creator with school and other things kids your age usually do?

It’s pretty easy for me! I always make sure school comes first. When I have modeling or filming, I just fit in tutoring around that. Plus, my family helps me stay super organized!

What’s the best advice you’ve received so far from the celebrities you’ve worked with?

One of the best pieces of advice I got is to always be true to myself and not be shy about showing my personality. It’s important to embrace who you are because that shines through in everything you do!

Lastly, what would you say to other kids who want to be creative online like you but don’t know where to start?

Just go for it! Start exploring what you love, whether it’s makeup, dancing, or acting. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, and remember that it’s totally okay to make mistakes. Just have fun and share your awesome creativity with the world!
