Interview
Your content reaches millions-over 55 million views in just 30 days! What do you think makes your videos resonate so strongly with people?
It’s definitely my laugh-and the fact that I’m just sharing things that genuinely crack me up. My laugh isn’t just a reaction; it’s an invitation. People always say it feels like they’re laughing with a friend. There’s no performance, no script-just real energy. I think that’s what people connect with most.
With over 1.1 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, how do you stay connected to your audience and keep your content fresh?
By being brutally honest with myself about what actually makes me laugh or feel something. If I don’t love it, I don’t post it. Most of what you see is real-time-things that are happening to me that day. I try not to overthink it. You’re usually getting raw, unfiltered life, and I think people appreciate that.
You have a background in acting-how has that shaped the way you approach digital storytelling and content creation?
Acting taught me how to tell a story-even in a 15-second video. There has to be a beginning, middle, and end, even if it’s just a reaction clip. Whether I’m sharing life updates, going to an event, or just being silly, I want people to feel like they’re on a little journey with me.
What’s your process when creating a Reel or TikTok that you know is going to make an impact? Do you follow trends or focus more on originality?
Honestly? If I knew exactly how to make something go viral, I’d have 10 million followers by now, lol. I don’t have a formula. I just share what feels real in the moment-whatever I’m going through or laughing about. I’m figuring it out like everyone else.
You’re often seen at red carpet events and premieres. What’s your favorite part about being in that spotlight and engaging with celebrities and media?
It’s surreal. I love connecting with other creatives and being in spaces where people are celebrating art. I still get imposter syndrome though-I’ll be standing there thinking, “Wait…who let me in here?!” But I always show up as myself.
Brand partnerships are a big part of your platform-how do you choose which brands to work with, and what makes a collaboration feel authentic to you?
It has to feel right. I’m super picky. If I love the product or it genuinely fits my lifestyle, I’m in. And even if I don’t use something personally, if I know it could help someone else and I can speak honestly about it-that’s important to me too.
You seem super comfortable hosting live events and panels. What’s the key to owning the room and keeping that high-energy vibe?
I read the room. Every audience is different, so I try to connect one-on-one as much as possible. A lot of times it’s just about bringing genuine energy and being open. I don’t go in with a persona-I just go in as me.
What’s one moment in your digital career so far that made you stop and think, “Wow, I really made it”?
I don’t think I’ve had that moment yet. I’ve had incredible opportunities, met amazing people, and found out some celebrities I admire follow me-which is wild! But my mindset is still very focused on what’s next. My biggest goal is being able to support my family in a meaningful way.
You’re inspiring a lot of creators who want to build their own digital presence-what advice would you give someone just starting out in this space?
I used to roll my eyes at this, but it’s true: be yourself. Talk about what you love, what moves you, what breaks your heart. That’s how people connect with you. Let your art, your voice, your weird little quirks shine. That’s the magic.
Lastly, what’s next for Ediza Ferris? Any exciting projects, collaborations, or personal goals you can share with us?
Yes! I’m stepping deeper into acting-recreating iconic film scenes with my own spin is just the start. I also have some exciting collaborations that mix fashion, storytelling, and comedy in totally new ways. My big vision is to bridge the gap between digital and traditional media while keeping authenticity at the core.
