Interview
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how growing up in London with Jamaican roots has influenced your music?
The influence is a bit hidden since I don’t play Jamaican music but I do have the Jamaican vibe and energy in my blood for sure! , the music industry in England is amazing but I left at age 6, sadly i didn’t get much of it…
Congratulations on your debut acoustic album on Spotify! What was the inspiration behind this first project?
Just me, I wanted to show the World how I am. Just my voice & my guitar.
You mentioned working on your second album and incorporating Spanish for the first time. How is this new experience shaping your music?
It’s a big challenge, but I wont stop until im satisfied
What motivated you to start composing songs in Spanish, and what do you hope to express through these new lyrics?
Too many People asking me to sing in Spanish, the audience’s wish is my command.
You spent part of your childhood in a foster home in Menorca. How has this experience impacted your life and your music?
Made me a very independent person, to the point that its Hard for me to work with other artists, but I will get out of my confort zone for this second album.
You mentioned a strong connection with one of the girls from the foster home. Can you share more about this relationship and how it has inspired your music?
We have a similar past, I see myself in her , its like if I know what she needs because I was in the exact same point at her age
Your first song in Spanish is dedicated to this girl. Can you tell us more about the song and its significance?
She inspires me a lot. And its also a message for her, to let her know I will always be her shoulder.
You’re also working on a music video for this song. What can we expect from the video, and how will it feature the girl you’re dedicating the song to?
She will be in it ridding her horse! Im mostly doing it for her, to give her the nice experience of being in a video. I want to fill her life up with good memories
Alongside your music career, you’re also creating and sharing paintings on social media. How do you balance your work as a singer-songwriter and an artist?
There’s no balance. Music has all of the weight.
I paint when I get a chance or and order, I love painting
What’s next for you in both your music and visual art? Are there any upcoming projects or exhibitions we should look forward to?
Now you are mentioning exhibition yes, I should actually put the paintings up. I prefer bars or restaurants than Art Galleries.
