Interview

When did it all start?

My career began at a young age in the UK, performing in award-winning theatre productions that sparked my passion for the arts. That journey led me to Los Angeles, where I was honored to receive a merit-based scholarship to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since graduating, I’ve been fortunate to star in fashion campaigns for brands like AALLYN and Rosebibi, appear in commercials for Bailey’s, and land roles in TV series such as Killer Siblings.

If you were an advertisement, what would your slogan be?

I’m Jenna-mae White — a storyteller at heart. Whether on stage, on screen, or behind the mic, I’m guided by a love for honest, meaningful work. I believe in growing with every role, staying grounded in gratitude, and letting the craft speak louder than the spotlight.

What does your career mean to you?

My career means so much more to me than just performing – it’s a lifelong journey of growth, expression, and connection. Every role, campaign, and creative project is an opportunity to tell a story, to move someone, and to challenge myself in new ways. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to do what I love, and I carry a deep sense of purpose in representing my craft with authenticity, humility, and heart. For me, it’s not just about being seen – it’s about making people feel something real.

What is your main motivation?

My main motivation comes from the incredible feeling I get when I perform — that moment when I fully connect with the character, the audience, or the music. It’s an indescribable energy that fuels my passion and keeps me pushing forward. There’s nothing quite like the rush of bringing something to life and knowing that it resonates with others.

What is the part you enjoy the most? And the worst?

The part I enjoy the most is the thrill of performing, whether it’s stepping into a new character, connecting with an audience, or capturing a moment that feels truly alive. There’s something magical about that connection, and it’s what keeps me coming back to the craft. The part I enjoy the least is probably the uncertainty and waiting between projects. The waiting can sometimes feel like a slow burn, but it’s all part of the journey. Even in those moments, I try to stay focused on growth and preparation for whatever comes next.

Who are your idols?

My idols are Audrey Hepburn, Emma Thompson, and Lily James. Audrey Hepburn’s grace and timeless elegance inspire me, while Emma Thompson’s versatility and depth in both acting and writing remind me of the power of storytelling. Lily James embodies a beautiful blend of strength and vulnerability in her roles, showing that you can be both dynamic and relatable. I also can’t forget the incredible talent of Broadway performers like Eva Noblezada, whose passion and skill remind me of the magic that live performance can bring. Each of these women has shaped the way I approach my craft and what I hope to bring to the world of performance.

In case you need a break in your career, what else would you like to do?

If I ever needed a break in my career, I would likely turn to fashion, as it’s something I’ve always loved. Whether it’s working on styling, collaborating with designers, or even curating creative projects, fashion allows me to express myself in a different way. It’s a world that’s just as dynamic and inspiring as performing, and I’d embrace the opportunity to explore it more, while still staying connected to my artistic roots. It’s a perfect outlet for creativity and a way to recharge while continuing to be involved in the arts.

Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?

I believe there are more opportunities for new artists nowadays, mainly because of the rise of digital platforms and social media. These platforms allow artists to share their work globally, bypassing traditional barriers like geographic location or industry gatekeepers. There’s also a wider variety of content being produced across film, TV, theater, and music, opening up more diverse roles and projects for emerging talents. However, while there are more opportunities, there’s also greater competition, which means that standing out requires even more dedication, unique talent, and persistence. It’s an exciting time, but it’s not without its challenges.

What would your idyllic life be like?

My idyllic life would be one where I’m able to perform in projects that are both important and fulfilling to me, where I can truly connect with the stories I’m telling and the people I’m working with. I’d feel passionate and inspired by the roles I take on, knowing that they align with my values and artistic vision. At the same time, I’d have a peaceful personal life, where I can recharge, nurture meaningful relationships, and find balance. It’s about having that perfect harmony between pursuing my creative dreams and enjoying moments of calm and happiness away from the spotlight.

What are your next projects?

I’m incredibly excited about the upcoming projects I’m working on. My debut single is something I’ve poured my heart into, and I can’t wait to release it and finally perform it for everyone. It’s been such a fulfilling journey, and I’m really looking forward to sharing it with my fans. On top of that, I have a few fashion campaigns in the works that I’m thrilled about, as well as an untitled new feature film that I can’t wait to dive into. It’s such an exciting time, and I’m feeling grateful for all the creative opportunities that are coming my way.
