Interview

Your portrayal of Mayday Malone in Roswell Delirium has already earned you nine “Best Actress” awards. What has this role meant to you personally and professionally?

Personally, my character, Mayday Malone pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to pour myself completely into a character. Professionally, she was the role that kick started my career post pandemic and opened doors I’m still walking through today. And those Best Actress awards are amazing, but what I carry with me most is how she changed the way I see myself and continue to grow my craft.

You shared the screen with legends like Anthony Michael Hall, Dee Wallace, Reginald VelJohnson, and Sam J. Jones. What did you take away from working alongside such iconic actors?

Working alongside such legendary actors was honestly so crazy but I learned that being iconic is not just about acting, it’s about the way you treat people. It reminded me that while skills get you noticed, character is what makes you unforgettable.

Your career began with the Lifetime thriller Her Secret Family Killer. Looking back, how do you feel you’ve evolved as an actress since that debut?

That first role taught me the basics of connecting with the character but since then, I’ve learned how to dig deeper, take more risks and bring more of myself into every role. I feel more confident and capable now, and every project since then has helped me to keep discovering a deeper sense of acting.

You’ve performed in over 90 shows of The Polar Express live musical. What was that experience like, especially performing on a moving train?

Performing an over 90 WB Polar Express shows was such a wild ride… literally! Being on a moving train with a live audience meant every show was a little unpredictable, which kept me sharp and really present in the moment. It was challenging, exhausting, and so much fun all at once, and it taught me to confident and adaptable no matter what’s happening around me.

In Rebel Moon, you stepped into the world of stunt double for the first time. What was the biggest challenge in taking on that kind of physical role?

It actually was a lot of fun! I was brought on as a double role which lead to doing some stunts such as falling but they were easy because I’m a minor and limited. Working on such a huge production was the best part…and seeing the amazing costumes and working on the lot for a few weeks with Zach Snyder made it an experience that I will never forget!

Fans will soon see you in two Christmas films “A Chrismystery” and “CATnip”. What can audiences expect from these holiday projects?

Chrismystery is the kind of film you watch wrapped in a cozy blanket with hot cocoa and it just makes you feel good. I play opposite Jen Lilley who is such an amazing actress. Catnip (coming in 2026) is the total opposite, think festive decorations, holiday cheer, and then everything goes terrifyingly wrong. Add in Chevy Chase, Bruce Dern, Jake Busey and Joey Lauren Adams and it’s a hit thriller! It’s tense, weirdly fun, and definitely not your typical holiday movie.

You’re also an award-winning figure skater. How has your background on the ice influenced your work ethic?

Figure skating has pushed me to a whole new level of discipline. On the ice, you have to get up after every fall and keep going until you nail it, and that determination has carried over into my acting. It’s taught me to stay focused, work hard, and not give up until I’m proud of the result.

Being fluent in American Sign Language is such a unique skill. How has ASL enriched your personal life or opened doors in your career?

Professionally, it’s open doors by letting me take on roles that require ASL and stand out in auditions, which has been very exciting.

You dedicate time to charities like Baby2Baby, The Thirst Project, and the South County Outreach Food Bank. What inspires your commitment to philanthropy?

I dedicate time to these charities because I’ve always believed in using whatever I have, whether it’s time energy or resources, to make a positive impact. My mom has always done this alongside me, and seeing her passion for helping others has inspired me to follow her example. Giving back isn’t just about helping others; it has also taught me empathy, gratitude, and the importance of community.

With such a diverse range of roles already under your belt, what kinds of stories or characters are you most excited to explore next?

I’m most excited to explore characters who are complex and a little unexpected. People who have layers, secrets, or challenges that make them feel real. I love stories that mix emotions with a bit of adventure or suspense, where I can really dig into what makes someone tick and show growth over time. The kind of roles that stick with you long after the story ends, are the ones I’m drawn to.
