Interview

When did it all start?
It started when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I was sitting in an art class and the teacher opened a book in front of us. It was Van Gogh. I was fascinated by the yellow sunflowers, so I copied those flowers. I depicted them in the air with their roots exposed, and the background was filled with different colors. After completing this painting, I realized my passion for art. When my mom saw this piece, she immediately recognized my talent and nurtured it.
If you were an advertisement, what would your slogan be?
“Better Together,” the words embedded as part of my logo.
What does your career mean to you?
It’s not just a career; it holds profound significance to me—it’s about living a purpose-driven life. My journey isn’t merely a job; it’s a mission that resonates deeply within me. I wholeheartedly believe in my ideas, and I’m steadfast in my conviction that they will wield a positive influence on the world. To me, this vocation isn’t solely about personal success; it’s about becoming a source of inspiration for others each day. Aiming for this goal fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment.
What is your main motivation?
My primary driving force is my family, especially my daughter. The thought of her enjoying my art in museums long after I’ve passed fuels my determination. I consistently push myself beyond my limits. Running acts as both my motivation and my declaration of triumph over destiny. In my journey, I also find a steadfast companion in faith. This profound connection with God propels me to evolve and persist each day. Seven years ago, while traveling to Barcelona on New Year’s, I was in search of a dress for the occasion.

Along the way, an unforgettable scene unfolded before me. Amid a gathering of people, I saw a man without hands, skillfully painting on the ground using his feet. His concentration intrigued me, and I got closer to him. His gaze locked onto mine. He didn’t utter a word—perhaps he couldn’t. Taking a break from his art, he began to write, then handed me a note. Inscribed were these potent words: ‘Even if you fall, you should stand up and keep going.’ This message is indelibly etched in my memory, fueling my resolve each day.
What is the part you enjoy the most? And the worst?
I take immense pleasure in conceiving novel ideas and transforming them into reality. The most challenging aspect lies in waking up before 6 am for daily meditation, or even pushing through a workout when my body is fatigued. However, the ultimate test is enduring the separation from my family, who reside in Israel.
Who are your idols?
My idols include my mom, my cousin from Israel, the artist Gustav Klimt, Yog Ananda, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Salvador Dali, the poet Rumi, George Carlin, and Andrea Bocelli.
In case you need a break in your career, what else would you like to do?
It’s unlikely I’ll ever take a break since my career and life purpose are intertwined. However, downtime is crucial to balance the intensity of my pursuits. In those moments, I relish the opportunity to swim, write, read extensively, engage in various sports, and possibly explore culinary cooking classes or acting.
Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?
Opportunities await those who wholeheartedly embrace hard work. An artist’s journey parallels life, a ceaseless evolution. Daily, we refine skills—whether making art, effectively conversing with the right people, or articulating ideas. The internet and social media offer unparalleled avenues for artists to have global exposure. But seizing these opportunities only falls upon the individual, their initiative, and their determination.
What would your idyllic life be like?
I frequently find myself lost in daydreams of painting on a remote, undiscovered island with its unique fruits as my only sustenance. The thought of basking in natural sunlight, surrounded by lush nature and having wild animals to capture on canvas, feels like a surreal existence. In this idyllic universe, free from pollution and the intrusion of technology, it would be a life closely connected to the abundance of nature and its endless wellspring of inspiration.
What are your next projects?
My upcoming projects involve exciting collaborations with several athletes. I will use their favorite daily items as canvas, such as shoes to skateboards. I believe art imbues our personal things with special powers. I want it to be used during our daily activities, not just on our walls. The project closest on the horizon is the presentation of my artwork at the upcoming Los Angeles Superfine Art Fair. I am creating smaller paintings in preparation for this event. I’m also working on designing some unique dresses for my fashion line that would feature my art.
