Interview
When did it all start?
I’ve always loved singing and writing. I would say it started when I was three or four. I’ve been singing since I could talk. Its always been my goal of mine to achieve my dreams in music and become the successful artist I know I can be.
If you were an advertisement, what would your slogan be?
My Slogan would probably be “Authenticity as an artist attracts the right people and the right opportunities”. I believe this to be true. You can never wrong with fully being yourself. And I would also say to my audience to never give up on their dreams. As Selena Quintanilla once said “Believe the impossible is always possible”.
What does your career mean to you?
It means the world to me and my fans mean the world to me. Being authentically me has gotten me the results I’ve acquired thus far but its also because of my fans and their unconditional dedication to me, I am incredibly grateful.
What is your main motivation?
My main motivation is the vision I see in my minds eye everyday. Where I know I’m meant to be. What God has gifted for me. I keep striving and thriving to fully immerse myself in the vision I see for myself in this lifetime.
What is the part you enjoy the most? And the worst?
The part I enjoy the most is the recording process of every song. The energy in the studio is on another level. Its euphoric, fun, and all consuming in the best way possible, and its by far the best part of creating a hit single. I don’t believe there’s necessarily a worst part of it but if I had to say a downside to it would probably be not being able to be face to face with my fans a lot of the time. Its truly a goal of mine to be and meet face to face with my fans to thank them for their love and support. Its hard to do that through social media, its the best we’ve got right now but I prefer face to face interactions to show them my love and gratitude.
Who are your idols?
My idols are Selena Quintanilla, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and the girl band Little Mix. Reasons being as all of these artists are about women empowerment, stand in their true authenticity and encourage the younger generation like myself to believe in yourself and chase your dreams no matter how far fetched they may seem.
In case you need a break in your career, what else would you like to do?
Truthfully, I don’t see myself wanting to do anything else. I do enjoy writing but mostly I write songs. From time to time, I like to create poetry and short stories but I mostly write music. Thats the best way for me to express myself.
Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?
I feel nowdays there are actually more opportunities for artists due to social media as artists can easily connect with their fans and peers. As well as for connecting with music blogs, magazines and radio stations – artists can easily get in touch with them to promote their music.
What would your idyllic life be like?
My idyllic life would one day being able to live out my dream in Los Angeles. My soul has always felt a pull and a calling to California, specifically LA and I just know thats where my story progresses even further. I read somewhere that when you feel a pull or a soul calling to a specific place or a different country, that thats where you are meant to be and where your story begins. Thats how I truly feel about moving to California one day.
What are your next projects?
My next projects are releasing a new single called “Two Puzzle Pieces” which is about a soul tie connection that you keep being pulled back to even when you want to walk away or move on, it just keeps pulling you back. This song is special to me as it symbolizes my first love and the way I felt about my first love. A love so beautiful, so earth shatteringly beautiful that you never want to let go but somewhere along the way you grow out of the relationship and learn that the connection has run its course and the best thing to do for yourself is move on. “Two puzzle pieces that just fit”. My other projects involve launching my music to more radio stations and doing more press articles.
