"Unlock Potential, Elevate Life, Achieve More"
Interview
Your entrepreneurial journey began at a young age, when you sold handmade shorts. How did that early experience shape your approach to business and success?
Selling handmade shorts as a kid taught me two invaluable lessons: resourcefulness and the importance of storytelling. I remember pitching my shorts to friends and neighbors, and I quickly realized they weren’t just buying the product—they were buying into my confidence and vision. That early experience shaped my belief that great businesses aren’t just about selling things but about solving problems and building trust.
As a former professional snowboarder, how did your experiences in sports influence your mindset and resilience in later ventures like aviation and real estate?
Sports gave me an unshakable foundation for resilience. I vividly remember competing in a major event where I was favored to win but wiped out on the final run. The embarrassment was tough, but it forced me to reassess and rebuild my confidence. That same mindset—getting up after every fall—has been a cornerstone of my success in aviation and real estate. When you embrace failure as part of the process, you realize it’s not the fall that defines you but how quickly you get back up.
Your success in the helicopter industry is remarkable, especially during challenging times. What key strategies did you implement to grow your business and dominate the market in Southern California?
The helicopter industry taught me that trust is the ultimate currency. Our success came down to three key strategies: building personal relationships, prioritizing safety and service above all else, and reinvesting in the business during critical moments. I remember calling clients to understand their needs and how we could deliver more value. Those one-on-one connections created loyalty that carried us through even the most challenging economic periods.
You’ve mentioned that personal development played a significant role in your success. Can you share the most transformative lesson or principle that helped you achieve extraordinary results?
The most transformative principle I’ve learned is that your results reflect your beliefs. Early in my career, I operated from a scarcity mindset, always worrying there wouldn’t be enough opportunities. The shift came when I started focusing on abundance and trusting that opportunities are limitless if you show up for them. That one mindset shift changed everything, from how I approached deals to how I viewed myself.
Elite Aligned Coaching focuses on overcoming limiting beliefs. What common limiting beliefs have you observed, and how do you help your clients break free from them?
One of the most common beliefs I see is, “I’m not good enough.” It’s heartbreaking how many people are held back by this thought. I help my clients identify these beliefs by uncovering their roots—often in childhood or past experiences—and then teach them how to reframe their thinking. For example, a client was afraid to launch her business because she thought she lacked the qualifications. We reframed that fear into, “I’m the exact person someone needs to learn from because I’ve been through this myself.” That shift was the catalyst for her success.
In The Science of Getting Rich documentary, you discuss principles of success and prosperity. How do these principles align with your personal philosophy and coaching methodology?
The principles of The Science of Getting Rich—gratitude, clarity of purpose, and focused action—are the backbone of my coaching. Gratitude, in particular, is transformative. When you focus on what you have, you naturally create space for more abundance to flow into your life. These principles aren’t just theoretical—they’re tools that anyone can use to rewrite their story and build a life they’re proud of.
Your work in real estate skyrocketed after embracing mindset strategies. What specific mindset shifts do you believe are critical for thriving in the real estate industry?
The most significant shift is learning to see challenges as opportunities. Real estate is unpredictable—deals fall apart, markets shift—but you’ll always find a way forward if you approach those moments with curiosity instead of fear. Another key mindset is abundance. Instead of fixating on competition, I focus on collaboration and finding win-win solutions. It’s incredible how far you can go when you believe there’s enough success for everyone.
You’ve worked with high-profile clients, including celebrities. How does coaching or leading such individuals differ from coaching those starting in their personal development journey?
High-profile clients often face unique pressures, like public scrutiny and the weight of their expectations. Coaching them requires a balance of discretion and depth—creating a space where they can be vulnerable while helping them maintain their edge. For those starting their journey, it’s about building foundational skills and confidence. No matter where someone is in their journey, the goal is alignment and empowerment.
As someone who’s achieved success across diverse fields, what advice would you give to individuals looking to pivot into entirely new industries?
Be bold enough to pivot and humble enough to learn. Every new industry has a learning curve, but your existing skills and experiences are more transferable than you think. Focus on building relationships in your new space and immerse yourself in the industry’s language and culture. The most successful pivots happen when you combine your past strengths with a willingness to adapt.
What legacy do you hope to leave through your work with Elite Aligned Coaching and your contributions to personal development?
My legacy isn’t about the businesses I’ve built—it’s about the lives I’ve helped transform. I want to be remembered as someone who inspired others to break through their fears, believe in their potential, and create lasting change in their lives. The ripple effect of empowering just one person can reach generations, which drives me daily.
