"Life can be so simple but we tent to complicate it"

When did it all start?
It all started when I was a kid. I always wanted to be someone well known. I tired many things but nothing clicked in me. In high school I had to perform as one of my teachers and perform in front of my whole school. I enjoyed every moment of it and I decided that this is what I want to do. After high school I went for acting classes and I felt in love with acting.
If you were an advertisement, what would your slogan be?
Life can be so simple but we tent to complicate it
What does your career mean to you?
My career means everything to me. Not many people can do what they are passionate about. Whenever I perform it brings me so much joy. I feel like with each performance I become a better person, I can go through so many emotions which allows me to understand myself better, what I want in my life. When I’m in front the camera, I am truly happy.
What is your main motivation?
Sometimes I feel like my family believes more in me than I believe in myself. They sacrificed so much for me to be where I am. They are the only reason why I didn’t give up yet. I asked my mom why she is still helping me after so many failures and she told me, ”I wanted to be an artist too but your grandparents never supported me so now I want to help you as much as possible because I feel like whenever you perform, I’m there with you.”
What is the part you enjoy the most? And the worst?
For me the best part is to work on a character, what he things, how he walks, what’s the reason of his actions, exc. Also, seeing people be affected by my work. To know that I made them feel all sorts of emotions and took them on a journey is extremely gratifying and fulfilling.

The worst part is that sometimes the character gets too real for me. I had many sleepless nights because of the emotions and thoughts. That’s one thing that I still need to work on, how to detach myself from it and allowed to come when need it.
Who are your idols?
As a kid I was obsessed with Rocky franchise. I started boxing because of that movie. When I learn the back story of Sylvester Stallone, how he demanded that he’s going to play as Rocky, I became he’s huge fan.
In case you need a break in your career, what else would you like to do?
I would move to mountains in China and practice Kung Fu for two years. Before coming to Los Angeles I found a two year program in China. They take you to the mountains where they teach you Kung Fu everyday, how to write and talk in mandarin and how to meditate. There is no electricity and internet. If I needed a break from acting and people, that’s what I would do.
Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?
I think nowadays there are so many platforms to create which makes it a lot easier for artists to be heard. Many auditions are through self tapes which allow you to work on it more and take more takes. However, casting directors can’t really see your personality. When I go for audition in person, I feel like I can sell myself better and show that I am easy person to work with which in this industry, it’s very important. It’s hard for me.
What would your idyllic life be like?
To lead a meaningful life, to make positive contributions to others, to have fulfilling experiences, to go on mesmerizing holidays, to love my chosen career and have authentic and loving relationships.
What are your next projects?
In the next couple of weeks I am going to begin shooting a trailer for a TV show called Deja Vu as a main antagonist, Blake Coakley aka the Shadow King. The TV show is about light and shadow magic. Shadow users are killing light keepers to stay immortal. I’m really excited for this. In two months I’m going to play in a scene as a Night for hire. The scene is going to be between a Knight and The King.
