About

According to CHRSTPHR, there are two things that separate an average DJ from someone with immense talent. He says it’s “a sense of vocation and a love of music”. On the artist’s newest single titled “Boom Boom”, we can confidently claim that a ton of love and sheer passion has been infused to this mix as it’s ripe for dancing, grooving, and perfect for a party atmosphere. While this was our introduction to the artist’s music, we didn’t quite know what to expect, but he’s left us feeling great about what else is to come.

"JUST DO IT"

Interview

When did it all start?
Everything started when I was 9. I was started playing in piano. During this period, I also got to know music writing. At first I worked in the background, where I made music for several artists, and then later I founded the CHRSTPHR project.
If you were an advertisement, what would your slogan be?
Perhaps the best Just Do It. I love this because there is so much truth in it. If you imagine something, you only know what it will be like when you start. As long as you only fantasize about it, it’s just a dream.
What does your career mean to you?
Everything. It’s a lifestyle, not an express job. This cannot be handled by working 8 hours now. You have to live with it. For example, I knew from a young age that this is what I wanted to do, and that is what I want to build my whole life on.
What is your main motivation?
To constantly learn and experience experiences and situations. If they weren’t there, I don’t think it would make any sense.
What is the part you enjoy the most? And the worst?
I love processes the most. The birth of a song, a preparation for a festival… These are the things when my brain works at 150%. The worst thing is probably the rest. You have to be very careful about how much time you allocate because if you don’t rest enough, you won’t be creative. Thus, a trip, jet lag, and overnight stays must be kept in balance.
Who are your idols?
There are lots of. Maybe Hans Zimmer, but so are many others. I learn a lot from other artists, business people, and I think one of the most important things is to dare to say something even if we don’t know something.
In case you need a break in your career, what else would you like to do?
I honestly haven’t thought about it yet, because I also deal with music in my free time. It turns my brain off so much if I just listen to music that I can induce relaxation just like that. But I really like technical sports like motocross, jetski and skiing.
Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?
Because of the Internet, the digital noise is much greater. That’s why it’s very important how you stand out from the big picture. There are many of us, and there are many creative people, but I think it is important to assert our uniqueness, to believe in what we want to create, and to surround ourselves with honest people whose opinions we listen to.
What would your idyllic life be like?
So that I can create without conditions, and that money does not influence creativity.
What are your next projects?
Now, in the short term, I want to travel and experience as much as possible, meet new places and meet new people. This is my number one plan right now. And what comes next should be a surprise even to me.
