Ritchie - Interview

How many years have you been  drawing ?

As long as I can think back I have been drawing. I started with graffiti as a teenager. I try to combine those skills I have learned over the years and put it into my art works from today.

If you were an advertisement, which would your slogan be?

Never be afraid of failing… that’s when we learn the most!

Which is the part you enjoy the most  drawing ?

Loving the process of every art work I do. it’s exciting for me to see how a blank canvas can turn into something colorful and tells a story in the end.

What is your main inspiration when you are creating  a new drawing ?

I think it’s difficult to tell. Coz I think inspiration is everywhere! Be open minded to explore and fail! that’s when true inspiration kicks in!

What does  drawing  means to you?

Family First! but drawing means everything to me – it’s also away for me to dive into a different world and completely forget everything around me.

Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?

It has never been so easy to show your work to the world! Take the opportunity but never take anything for granted.

If you didn’t like  drawing  what would you like to do?

I don’t know… but when I left school I always thought being a teacher at a primary school would be something amazing.

If you could change the world, what would you do?

Spread more positivity & respect  for each other. You are not alone on the planet so don’t act like that!

What would your idyllic life as an artist be like?

Living in a really high building in a big city where I would have a big overview!  With my wife and my daughter… with a little room where I can create my art.
