ZACH-HENNESSEY

Wasted in LA is a nod to Blink 192 and late 90’s pop/punk and was inspired by Halloween and strange dreams. The song tells the tale of two young men who go to a party during a full moon which leads to strange things happening to them. Recorded in Los Angeles and written by Zach as well as Brandon Fontineau, Jason Hennessey, Andrew Lane, and Chris Campbell.  Produced by Andrew Lane (Backstreet Boys, Irene Cara) and Chis Campbell, this single is sure to be a favorite with fans.

I am inspired by letting my mind be creative and then taking action to write, record, and share art that society calls music.”

Zach woke up one morning with the idea for a song and wrote down his thoughts. He found a producer and three months later Wasted in LA is on a billboard in Times Square. This young influencer wants his fans to know that you can do anything you set your mind on with hard work and perseverance. 2022 will be an exciting year for this performer who is in the studio right now working on new tracks.

Interview

What inspired you to create the song?

I was inspired to bring back some of the sounds of pop-punk artists such as Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and Avril Lavigne.

What is the message behind this song?

The message behind the song is that sometimes during a full moon, strange things might start to happen, it might even feel like a dream.  However if you just accept things as they are, you can always make the best out of every situation.

Tell us about your process for writing and recording a new song.

This was the first song that I have ever written so it was a very new experience for me.  I started writing the song in my bedroom, pitched it to my parents, who liked it, we then brought it to Andrew Lane, my producer, who introduced us to Chris Campbell and FXNTI.

We locked ourselves in a studio for about 8 hours and came up with the 1st and 2nd verse, hook, and bridge.  It was amazing to collaborate with so many talented people for my first song.  Now I am hooked and writing new music every day.

Tell us about the team behind the production of your song.

I was fortunate to have such an amazing team working behind the scenes on this song.  This includes Andrew Lane, Chris Campbell, FXNTI, and Tosh the Drummer.

What are your next steps?

My next steps are to release the music video for this song then continue to write and produce new music in 2022.
