When did you start to get interested in music?

I’ve always been interested in music as I come from a very musical family but I began to work on my own music around 4 years ago.

If you were an advertisement, which would your slogan be?

Black butterfly

A nick name my mother named me as growing up. I have a tattoo of this on my back.

Which is the part you enjoy the most about music?

I like the creating side of music as I’m a very artistic and creative person.

Most artists say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… In which aspects has music helped you?

My music has helped me in terms of confidence building especially when I’m on stage. My first long term relationship was a very abusive one in many ways and I feel through my music and song writing it was almost a therapeutic way of overcoming all of that.

What does music mean to you?

Music means a lot to me. It’s my therapy my way to express my life and situations through song and written word.

Who are your idols?

My idols are my mother, Mary j bilge, Latoya lucket, lil Kim. There’s so many I looked up to growing up and sometimes not due to their music often due to their image and stage presence.

If you didn’t like music, what would you like to do?

If I didn’t like music i would have to be doing something else creative like art or dance.

Do you consider that nowadays there are more or less opportunities for new artists? Why?

I would say there’s a lot more opportunities now because everything is online. There are a lot more social media outlets etc to promote on etc.

What would your idyllic life as an artist be like?

My idyllic life would be successful, comfortable living. Top hits yearly and most of all I’d like to be looked up to so that others feel that the sky’s the limit.
